Forum Newbie - I searched with a few different keywords and couldn't find a discussion about this other than someone suggesting to "look for formula codes on packaging".
I accidentally purchased Magenta for C5200 instead of for C6502. I called Ricoh and they just tried to sell me the correct bottle. When I asked "is the powder inside the bottles compatible" the tech on the phone completely ignored the question, like she was afraid to answer it. I understand why she did that, perhaps to keep her job.
I read on a similar forum post about "formula codes" and the original poster of that question was never able to find the formula codes on their packaging.
Can anyone tell me if since the C5200 and the C6502 are so similar (and close in age) that the powder inside the bottles is compatible? I know the 6502 toner is compatible with other machines (the bottle that is), but I'm hoping to save time by just pouring the 5200 toner into the empty 6502 bottle. I always purchase OEM toner BTW.
