    MPC 401sr random J018 and J019 JAMS

    HI
I got this unit with 4 paper trays,150k that I swapped fuser for broken lock latch and jamming.
I cleaned all feed rollers, transport rollers, reg roller and all sensors.
I pulled drum,ITB unit and still i get random paper jams.
I pulled and checked the black transfer roller unit and the top pop in guide on the right door.
I cked duplex area for any odd items but all clean.
It creases the paper and seems like the paper does not enter fuser evenly.
I have yet to swap the whole right door but i cant really watch what happens b4 it starts to jam.
    anyone see this

      hi
what would i see outside of the J019 AND J018 JAMS
it seems like the paper catches a burr or there is insufficient pressure
on one side as the paper gets pulled thru reg rollers or fuser..It happens intermittent on tray 1 thru tray 4...

Is the little junction gate holder broken at the top of the duplex?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

Why not? Perhaps, you could at least take a quick look at it.

I had in my case a defective paper sensor. I have found it with SP Input Check.

            thanks
but no it is all in one piece and I have seen my share of these broken free.
i have made a quick fix cutting out clear plastic
support that i use PC7 epoxy to make a solid repair when the right side support breaks free.
I am going to put my shop mpc401 back together and test a spare right side unit and run 150 copies b4
wrapping it to carry on the subway.

I had one where the registration guide was worn down to where the paper would catch the mylar attached to it.

if you look it looks like it is barely catching something 3.5 from the rear side..........

See my prior post. This one hung me up because the fault was intermittent and I had not seen one of these worn like this prior.

                      thanks
i didnt pull the reg guide out as i ran paper towels in the opening to the roller and felt nothing rough..
I thought maybe the transfer roller metal saw tooth might be off but it too looks good..
ITB solid and it just seems the rear side just clips something to stall feed.

Pull it anyway. I was able to run things through the registration rollers manually too. The paper caught almost exactly like you showed in your pics.

                          OK
I am going to pull a parts unit reg roller guide unit and will try that b4 carrying a full right door assembly
