    MP3352 Light streak/Void

    Light Streak on front edge.

I have replaced: 2= Brand new OEM PCU's, Transfer roller AND Laser unit. Even though the streak happens with both copy and print I have cleaned the optics. ??????? WT*

BTY- I am using Type 1027 PCU's like I have been for years with no issuesTest copy.jpg.

Are the guides aligned correctly in the tray?sometimes the white gear can jump and the guides don't align correctly. Also what happens if you open the scanner and take a sky shot does the image print on the full page? Could be a mag or reg issue that just needs adjustment

Did you stop it midway through and see if the image is on the drum?

Yup, checked trays. Tried out of tray 1 and 2 with same result. They are centered. Here is the sky shots... one with the dust cover and one without the dust cover. I can't figure why this is making a difference since I tried swapping out the laser unit. I reinstalled the original laser unit so I wouldn't have to re-adjust.

Is something in the path of the laser? What about the discarge plate? Is that working

Not finding anything blocking the laser. Looks like it when it prints though. Weird!

Yes, it's not on the drum.

And the laser slit glass is clean and fully pushed all the way into its seated position?

Take a look at my response with the sky shots. I mention this with slit glass and without.

What happens if you reduce the image?

Yup! I was just checking at first to see if it was dirty causing the issue. Full image @ 93%.

What you are seeing is edge erase. If the paper in your attached photo is ran SEF, short edge feed, adjust SP 2103-001 Leading edge erase and SP 2103-002 trailing edge erase. For LEF, long edge feed, adjust SP 2103-003 and 004.
