Is the slit glass the original glass? In the pictures you sent with the two images one with glass and without. You can see with the glass the image is faint and without its darker. This shouldn't happen. Is the laser clean inside? What about printing a non default page and checking settings to see if anythings out
Not the original slit glass. The "slit glass" or "dust cover glass" for the laser that you pull out to clean. Also, pulled the cover on the laser unit and checked to see if the mirrors were clean and they were. Printed non-default and settings look to be acceptable.
Sorry...Have you always provided assistance with this machine? Did the problem arise suddenly or after a replacement? from the photo we see that the image at some point in which it becomes white is like another much smaller print and moved as if it were compressed, the processing of a wrong image is not excluded. Try the cables that connect the laser to the card, if you can test it with another working machine it would be ideal.
Problem solved! I should have remembered this from the old days working with 1027's! I even think there was a bulletin on this back then. Laser unit to low...loosen laser screws and push laser unit up as much as possible.
I have replaced: 2= Brand new OEM PCU's, Transfer roller AND Laser unit. Even though the streak happens with both copy and print I have cleaned the optics. ??????? WT*
BTY- I am using Type 1027 PCU's like I have been for years with no issues.
one way i try to decide were problem might be is printing either an internal test page or smc report. that way breaks down to if optics problem or below.
