Error media link board it what I have been told. Removed rear cover and made sure the board was seating completely, still the same problem. Im a canon copier guy, doing a favor for a customer at a print shop just need any ideas before dropping money on a new board.

Re: ricoh aficio w3601 no hdd for scanning
Hey Jerry,
If there's a HDD installed but the machine isn't seeing it, you might have a bad cable (SATA or Power), or the HDD might have died. I'd try reseating all the cables first (Think image RUNNER 4570 series) and if that doesn't work you'll likely need to replace the parts. These are your part numbers...
D0295371 _SATA Cable
D0295370 _Power Cable
D0295789 _HDD 500 GB
If you do replace the HDD, you'll need to format it. A new hard disk should always be formatted with Service Mode SP5832-1, even if it has already beenformatted. -
Re: ricoh aficio w3601 no hdd for scanning
Checked all mthe hdd cables seem to be fine. Using the interface I get an scanner error that shows error media link board. Is that the same as the file format converter board? I did forget to say everything else works the machine will print copy and pull from all traysComment

If I recall, there is a setting in User Tools" that's for "Use Delivery Server", and a spot for its IP address.
Assuming you're not using Scan Router (and I highly doubt you are) make sure this option is set to "Off".“I think you should treat good friends like a fine wine. That’s why I keep mine locked up in the basement.” - Tim HawkinsComment

"Delivery Server" is referring to the (now defunct) Scan Router product.

Re: ricoh aficio w3601 no hdd for scanning
Jerrygbs, Did you ever fix your Ricoh wide Format. I have a 3601 doing the exact same thing. I have replaced both HDDs and the file format converter. Sometimes if I reseat all boards I can get it to come up and function fine until it goes into energy save or is powered down then it is lost. Sometimes reseating does no good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
