    Ricoh 2238 colour adjust.

I have this customer and his logo is a deep kind of blue . The copier does not
match this colour , but if I go into adjust program colour and set the blue
two shades into magenta its pretty close. but as soon as the machine times out or is cleared the setting goes back to default. Is there a way to lock this
setting in so its always like that?

Color shouldn't be that far off on this machine - run ACC before you get too involved with it.

I agree with Shadow on this. One more thing to add...if the customer is copying off the glass, clean them optics up really good first. Just a little dust on the mirrors will cause faded colors.

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

        Just a thought!

Are you printing the logo or copying? Does this machine have a program mode were you can set a program number with preset copying settings that the user can recall?

            It's 'Business Color'

Perfect/near perfect color matching is going to be trial and error on any low to mid-range color machine and virtually impossible to maintain. Even if you match it today, down the road the colors are going to vary due to PCU, Dev, Transfer and even Fuser wear. Even the type of paper used is a factor.

That being said...In the RPCS print driver you can use User Presets in Quality and user pre-set Programs for copying like Capt. Scott suggests. But the bottom line is that if the customer needs perfection, 'Business Color' as Ricoh calls it, is never going to be a substitute for a high end graphics machine or offset press printing which will give you Pantone color matching. I've been down this road with customers and trying to get and maintain perfect color matching is somewhere you don't want to go. If you jack around with the SP color settings for one specific color, you are going to screw other colors up.

            Just my 2 cents.
