Aficio 700 SC990 need help

Hi Bro,

Problem with AF700, first it just scan to the hard disk but nothing print out at all. for some power off and on action, it now throu out SC990 with data info as: FILE:main.c; LINE: 257; VAL: 0. what wrong with it? what should i do then, please...

i had almost the same problems last month..try doing the hdd media check..if u get an error doing that, try formatting ur hdd..if u still got an error doing that, either u have to change ur hdd or formatt it using a pc and formatting again in the machine..i did that and it worked..

Tks for advise. I also formatting HDD using the machine formatting tool but the same error with it. I've never tried formatting HDD by using PC formartting tool. Please tell me how to formatting HDD by PC tool? which kinds of formatting we should use: FAT,NTFS or UNIX formatting? Tks.

u just formatt it in any formatt u want..after finished formatting using ur pc, u still have to formatt again using ur machine..
and a note on formatting using ur pc..if u link using IDE, maybe ur pc won't be able to read ur hdd..try using an external hdd cable..the usb type..

Go to Service mode, clear all memory and do like this

If u were lucky, it works . Otherwises call technician then pay them .
