need whtever info you guys can give me on fax error15-03.turned smtp to off still get code.also cannot find this code in my service manual.will need any and all info on this error thnx.note.. red light lit on fax option button.code not displayed intermittant 15-03

It's not in my manual either, but several of the other models list it as "Mail address not registered" Are they using fax forwarding to email?

turn SMTP off. User Tools/System Settings / File Transfer /Reception Protocol and turn OFF SMTP

Did you turn reboot the machine after changing the SMTP setting? Possibly something jacked in the fax firmware?? Try reloading.

Fax email account

Hi There,

If you go to User tools, System settings, File Transfer, Look for a setting, I think called fax e-mail account and make sure it is set to off. Also if there is a setting call pop before smtp make sure that is set to off.

Those settings are sometimes accidently turned on when their IT try to incorrectly setup scan to e-mail. Those setting are used when setting up IP faxing.

Another reason could be if fax forwarding to an e-mail address is set and the e-mail set is not valid. Does the client want fax to e-mail setup if not double check that forwarding is turned off. Go to user tools, fax features, Reception settings, forwarding and make sure it is turned off. The location may in Key op section as well as it does move from model to model.

I think the first fax e-mail account setting is the one to look for though.
