    Mpc5000 vs mpc4500 toner pump ?

Anyone know if the mpc5000 and mpc4500 pumps are the same?

Can't remember off the top of my head but if the drive gear on the pump is the same size it should work.

If I remember correctly, the only difference is possibly the length of the hose. Be sure to order the correct PN for the color toner you need a pump for. If your parts catalog does not list separate numbers, download the newest catalog. Ricoh quit shipping pump and hose separately years ago because of the tendency of old hoses clogging.

Frame on pumps are different. They will not be able to swap.

From the pictures in the Replacement and Adjustment sections of both service manuals look very similar, in fact almost identical just cropped a little different. If you have one to try, do so. I know there were a couple of older models that we had to use newer model pumps on after Ricoh start bundling the pump and hose.

                Yep...different sized casing.
                Doesn't work.

I've tried and they physically don't fit.

Same. The B223 pump only fits the older units.

I second or third that they are not interchangeable. The C5000 is physically bigger.
