sounds like you really don't know what part of the machine is kicking the SC code. Did you look it up in the service manual?
You are taking the "shotgun" approach to troubleshooting. Very expensive way of going about it .

Then the next step is to replace the lamp regulator board.

The book lists in this order,

 Dirty exposure lamp or optics section
             SBU board defective
             SIOB defective
             IPU board defective
             BCU board defective
             Harnesses are disconnected
             Exposure lamp defective
             Lamp stabilizer defective
             Scanner motor defective

            Did you replace the IPU?
            Does the lamp come on?
Check the scan harness to see if it's shorting
            HDD could be bad
Are there any other sc codes stored?

Just left of the CIS is a mylar strip that collects crap. Peel back the strip and clean the top and bottom. Don't remove it but clean both sides.

              Good luck

Guess again baby. MP 6002 comes with a one pass document feeder. You're thinking of the MP 6001.

The p[roblem is at exposure. First lubricate rails tec. Is scaner mooving smoothly?
                        What about sensor?

Could be a short circuit within the system. On a different machine, (MPC4501) i had these SC 1XX a couple of years back. I swapped most of the boards that are related to it in our workshop but couldn't fix. When I checked the service history, the last call was to replace the Transfer Assembly. Tech did not tighten the screw properly and was grounding the system. Had to tighten the screw and just like that, problem solved.

                          My 2 cents
                          Aye! Cut the crap
