From what I remember, Yes it is a pretty involved task.
Whats your issue? Not lining up when stapling?

I don't recall the jogger gates being an issue.

The belts that pull the paper back to align for stapling is another matter and I have done more of those than I care to remember.

For a first time person, there is no procedure on how to replace these belts either.

No procedure and a major pain in the tail fin. And the thin little nylon clips they use to hold bushings in place and gears on shafts are hard to keep a grip on.

          Thanks,

I assume work from the top down by removing the guides and shafts. Board ect..I ordered the jogger Assy. Looks held on by 2 screws in the parts diagram. [emoji31]

I can't say I've ever seen anyone or had to personally replace the jogger ass'y. Is it physically broken somewhere?
Most we've ever done with these finishers is clean the sensors and replace the exit section belts. And you don't have to completely dismantle it to get those belts off and on, but it's still a major pain in the ass!
I remember seeing where you can trim the holders for the belts on the bottom side so they lay on the paper a little more and grip better (or something like that).

you can adapt the two rubber rollers at the exit, those that bring the paper back and then staple, with those of the ADF MP6000 pickups which are more adherent than the originals and slightly wider. If I remember correctly I used the cutter to adapt them.

The back jogger rack gear is stripped out a few teeth where it moves for 11x8.5 making the staple miss a few sheets...
