[Misc] MPC 3001 - possible to increase memory?

    Good morning folks.

I have a customer whose machine is used to scan to multipage TIFF files. In order to be able to do that, as you might be aware, we had to disable gray-scale/colour compression.

But now, as you might have guessed, customer complains that the machine is running out of memory when scanning.

Is there any way of expanding the machine's ram? Or I better get ready to tell the customer that he must choose between the two?

    Thanks.

If memory serves me right, I believe the MPC3502 uses the same RAM card, but instead of 512MB it is 1GB (G1786072). It might or might not make any difference.

Check in User Tools --> System settings --> File Transfer - and bump up your "Max Email Size" to as high as it will go.
Also go into User Tools --> Scanner Features --> Send Settings - and turn Off Divide and Send - I think it's set to "Yes per max. email size".

EDIT: If you're getting a message "Insufficient Memory at Destination Hard Disk" then you need to bump up the max email size on the email server side.
