    Ricoh cp320dn

Went to a call today for a ricoh cp320dn, the issue is that it thinks there is a jam and is giving a error message to open the front cover and remove paper. I looked through this machine for about an hour and saw nothing, im not to familiar with thie model, so if anyone has ever seen this or has any suggestions feel free to reply, thanks.

    1) get a service manual

    2) RTFM

    3) run the sensor tests

    4) more than likely it is a stuck sensor

    5) print out the error log... work from newest to oldest logged errors.

    6) 'look thru the machine for an hour' did you wiggle any sensor.. pull out and drums etc?

    7) pull out paper trays see if any paper is crushed into the sensor cluster to the tray switches.

    my bet sensor stuck interanlly

this is pretty much "Copiers 101"
