That procedure if fully covered in the service manual...

Personally I think ANY Tech that wants to service ANY Ricoh product should NOT go in the field without one.

p.s. It's HELPFUL all one word.

and we would prefer that the service mode entry is posted PUBLIC for all the END USERS to see.
I have seen more instances where a non-tech has BRICKED a machine when they have that procedure posting in public. Take it to PM's, please!

I take it that you are not an authorized Ricoh technician. Otherwise your would know the access code by heart. I believe that the C3502 is before they changed the code but after they took it out of the service manual. You may have to go back to C3300 manual to find it.

Before you reset this code, check that the fusing belt hasn't torn.
If you run SP5-810-001 and the code doesn't clear, or returns after a short time, then you need to fit a high-temp reset fuse (or wire mod).

If the belt looks good, then the next step would be to replace the thermopiles.
If the belt looks torn, replace it, fit the high-temp reset fuse and execute SP5-810-002.
