    Pro 8120s Problem

    Dear All,
    I have 3 machines model pro8120s, one machine installed with fiery controller now we want o use its own printer controller so we install printer/scanner card successfully and get configuration page but when we connect it to network its internal NIC not responding i check SP5985 on board NIC and USB is enabled but NIC board not responding when we run ping command from computer it shows 'Destination host unreachable'.

    Kindly Guide me

    Not too familiar with the big machines but I'm pretty sure there should be a SP setting to enable/disable the fiery, should be in the service manual somewhere. Currently don't have access to download manual and check unfortunately

      Read your service manual. As part of the Fiery setup there is a SP settings that has to be changed. Return that SP setting to its default.

            you can download technical bullten for you machine
            if you read the technical bullten you can disable fiery on you machine and Continues by normal printing

              So I resolved that problem.
              The on board nic is faulty so we connect this machine by option nic board use for connecting fiery controller when I removed fiery controller but not removed optional nic card and we connect machine to network by this card

                WHAT IF HE DOESN'T HAVE ACCESS TO THE SITE?

                it has already been stated it's IN THE DAMN SERVICE MANUAL.!

                  I had no idea that you could print through the optional nic without attaching a Fiery to it. Good job, thanks for the follow up.
