From a quick google search, I'm found that the SC543 error means that a thermister has been overloaded and I need to either:
- reset it in the printer, or
- replace the thermister and then reset it in the printer
I looked at a few posts around the internet and the general consensus has been to go to maintenance mode and reset the fuser (or something to that effect). I found this post -> Aficio SP C222SF SC543 error. I have tried all sorts of commands to set into service mode to clear this and I have not
that suggested for a C220 model (and by extension, my C222 model) do the following:
Press the red CLEAR/STOP key till you hear the little beep.
Press 1 0 7 then Press the green COLOR START key.
The display changes into MAINTENANCE MODE
Use arrow keys to go to ENGINE MAINTENANCE and hit Ok.
Use the arrow keys and select FUSER SC RESET and hit Ok
Hit OK again at the Execute prompt.
Once it is done executing the reset, power the unit off and on
I tried doing this on my printer buttons (Printer - Album on Imgur), but it doesn't work. I press the red key, then 1, then 0 and pressing the 0 makes the printer make 2 extra beeps after the first beep.
I couldn't find anything in the manual (Ricoh Aficio SP C222SF Manuals) about this issue, and I'm not sure what else to do.
