using a mpc4503 drum/dev unit on a mpc3503?

hope all here are well and adjusting to the new norm.
I have a mpc3503 i need to get ready for a account but upon inspection the magenta drum has a big scratch,too big to polish off.
I thought possibly i could pull my parts mpc2503 drum and take apart and use till i got the new drum but they look the same but the 3503 has some drum shaft and weight to it and the c2503 is hollow and different end.
So I decide i can use the c4503 i have sitting.
can i just swap whole unit drum/dev unit or take out solo drum?

According to PR the drum units (and developer units) are the same for the c3503 and c4503

Only needs to be done on the MP C5503 and C6000.

I've been tempted to release the spring on all of them, wouldn't it make the drum unit last longer?

It reduces the amount of pressure the lube bar puts on the drum and therefore the rate at which the bar wears down. Without releasing it on the 55 and 60 the bar would wear out too fast due to the faster drum rotation. If you release it on the slower speeds, there might not be enough lube applied to the drum which could cause the drum to possibly wear faster.
