I've just installed my 5th C7500 machine following the setup instructions to the letter - NONE of them has completed the setup properly. I read all the tech bulletins and talked to Ricoh support on several occasions - I've managed to get all of them working including the one that tried to invalidate all 4 toners and wanted me to change out the brand new developer to recover... (there is a way around that, but it ain't pretty)
Question 1: has anybody else had this kind of luck? I never had any problems with the older generation machines. I kinda like the developer bottle rather than having to disassemble the PCU's, but not if it's going to go like this.
Question 2: Is there anything anybody has discovered to make this work better.
Question 3: What IDIOT designs a system that intentionally destroys over $1000 worth of toner and developer if even the slightest thing goes wrong while setting the machine up, and are they still working for us? (O.K. there is a way to recover the "empty" toner and developer, but as I said: It ain't pretty)
