MP3351 Vs. MP3352 Fuser

I'm sure I've seen this discussed and answered on the site, but I'll be Damned if I can find it now!

I have an issue at a customer with an MP3352 that the fuser is damaged and needs to be completely replaced.
I only have an MP3351 fuser at my shop, and neither of those machines to test it in.

Is the MP3351 interchangeable with the MP3352?
I feel like there was just a small mod required to the connector or something.

from a quick glance at the parts catalogs, the lamps are different. Hot rollers are different. Pressure roller is the same.

Thanks, Tim, but I actually know about most of the individual consumable parts, and most are interchangeable, including the Hot rollers (in spite of different p/n's).
I'm wondering about swapping the entire assy, which, as you know is quite common among many different Ricoh boxes, with little or No modification

I'm not sure but I think the biggest change Ricoh had made since they went to 2 lamps was to beef up the lower frame and side frames to present the plastic flanges in the lower frame that were to keep the hot roller from moving that liked to break off.

I think the difference in the lamps and hot roller has to do with warm up time. The 3352 has a slightly faster warmup.

For what I have learned from Ricoh is:
never mess with a Ricoh (unless you know exactly what you are doing).

I've put Ricoh 3350 fusers in 3351 machines and vice versa. Also have put 3352 fusers in 3353 machines and vice versa. When i put a 3351 in a 3352 the machine says to set fusing unit correctly, I think the wire loom is different on the back side of the fusers.

I found that out myself today.
In order to get the issue resolved, I took the 3351 fusing unit to my wholesaler to test in one of their machines and got the "set fusing unit message".
Then I just made a deal to get the proper fuser from one of their scrap machines.
I've got a great relationship with them and I'm lucky to be in the location I am, and be able to get almost any component, at any time when I'm in a bind.
The issue today was they are an hour in the opposite direction of my customer (who is 1/2 hour in the other direction), so I didn't want to show up with a fuser that wouldn't necessarily work, and not fix the issue, so I was just hoping to save a couple of hours travel, but it all of worked out in the end + I learned something .

Part number for 3350 and 3351 are the same. Part number for the 3352 and 3353 are the same. Point to point for the 3352 and 3352 is a piece of crap.
