Here's the SD card formatter that the TSC website points to. Should help machine recognize your 2GB sd card.

I have ordered the board and will buy a new smaller sd card and try firmware again. I will post as things happen.
I saw your problem or very similar on 2 machines in the field...and in both cases was a B version of this "piece of art". The only solution we found was to change Controller and NVRAM together. For firmware update I don't recommend any card bigger than 512 MB...for multiple reasons...I know...bigger is better but not when we talk about SD cards for Ricoh machines Do not be tempted to put multiple folders on the same card...It's working fine...but it's risky.
I wanted to suggest you to back up NVRAM and try a nvram clear before you order a new one but I saw that you already did it. We must back up all NVRAM's in preflight process (Ricoh Japan orders) and I must tell you that is worth it...especially when you deal with color machines. One 64MB card will be good enough for tons of machines. Good luck. and one more thing...double check the controller board part no...I know the board was revised and the part number changed.

The address book error occurs right at power on and I can't clear it. Machine does not recognize user codes, admin, or supervisor and none of the defualts have been changed. I have tried to do the initializations to the user info, address book, but no good. Machine has no HDD or sd cards. It's just a copier. Does anyone have any ideas besides changing the NVRAM? TIA

        Try SP5846 - 50, Execute, Reboot.

        Hope this helps!
