Ricoh MP4055 japanese language after replacing NVRAM In IOB Board

    Hi guys

    A clients MP4055 emitted SC544-02.

We have changed fuser and executed the following:
    1) SP5,810-002
    2) SP3,701-116

    there was no change.

We have had to change NVRAM in IOB and the error condition SC544-02 has been removed after We have entered the serial number.

but now we are getting the error Code SC195 and the SP mode is in Japanese.

any idea how to resolve this?

What was the P/N of the board installed? Different regions have different p/n for the same board.

Was it a new genuine fuser or used one. Did you just change fusing sleeve and not change fuse. Did you follow procedure in manual.
Why the heck would you change the NVRAM.

Clicking the upper right hand corner of the SP screen will allow you to select the SP language. The box with the with the oriental character and a 7. The 7 is the language number currently set. If I remember correctly, it is stored in the NVRAM and defaults to the language Ricoh has chosen for the region in which the NVRAM is to be sold.

Isn't that the "Exit" or "Return" button?

Enter Factory Mode (you should know how, I guess) and change SP 5996-1 to your area (Europe would be 3).

Did you put in a NEW fuser? Or just swapped with a different used fuser?
Usually for that code you need a reset fuse connected in the fuser, and execute 5-810-002 (high temp reset).
If you did install a new fuser, that should have the fuse in it. Install it and THEN execute 5-810-002. It will not work if you do the SP mode first, turn off machine and install fuser and turn back on (speaking from experience).
install the original nvram and try what I mentioned.

According to his profile he is in the capital city of Figi. Figi is an island in the South Pacific, definitely not Europe.

a new fuser was installed. but we still had no luck.

for some reason the Code gets stuck on the NVRAM and we are forced to change for the machine to release.

anyways, we got it in the end.

                  SC5807 region set to 7 and SP5811-002 and 004 to sort out S/N.SP5811-SP5811-002 and 002002 and SP5811-004

Never had to replace nvram because of fuser error but replacing nvram would of cleared error Regardless but I suspect the problem was only a sleeve & fuse problem to start with

Well done for fixing problem in the end don't forget to set up laser etc
