Re: Default Scanner File Type
on the copier whenever you select scan to file. on the right you should see send settings. select that and you can make any default changes you would like. then select to set it as current defaults. save this and it will be there next time. -
Re: Default Scanner File Type
Could also set via web if you have access but can't remember exactly where because usually just do it from operation panel

Re: Default Scanner File Type
The only thing I see on page 53 concerning scan settings is:Scanner:Specifying the file type is on page 125
Scan Settings, density, Original Feed Type, Send File Type / Name (except for Security Settings),
Select Stored File, Store File (except for User Name and Password), Preview, Text, Subject,
Security, Recept. Notice
This section explains how to register functions in a program using copier function as an example.
Saving them is referenced on page 12.Registering frequently-used settings as initial settings (Program as Defaults (Copier/DocumentThe referenced "Changing the Default Functions of the Initial Screen", Convenient Functions is not in the User Guide. Convenient Functions is a separate manual. It is only available in HTML format. They show copy screen in their example but the same steps apply for all other functions.
Server/Fax/Scanner))
See "Changing the Default Functions of the Initial Screen", Convenient Functions
Specify scan settings and any other settings you require on the initial copy screen. Pretty much what I had posted.
Specify scan settings and any other settings you require on the initial copy screen.
Press the [Program] key.
Press [Program as Defaults].
Press [Program].
Press [Yes].Comment

Re: Default Scanner File Type
Always nice from Ricoh to spread stuff over different mediums (not!). Separate PDFs on the same folder I can understand, but having to skim through PDFs, then HTML, maybe on CD, or perhaps on-line - it really is much easier to ask for help...' Re: Default Scanner File Type
You're right, my bad. I had misread it.
