[Error Code] Ricoh MP 5054 Hidden SC code

Customer has a 5054 that began to give a Functional error, restart machine, with no SC code. Printed SMC report to get hidden SC code and found that machine was giving an SC 540-00 code. This is a fuser error, Fusing/Paper Exit motor:Lock. Why would this only appear when machine is trying to print faxes?

Check the setting of SP 5875 SC Auto Reboot. SP 5875-001 is probably set to 0 which is the Default. Change it to 1.

SC540 usually just means the fuser needs to be rebuilt.

Fuser / exit motor lock check life of fuser parts rebuild if necessary that would be the 1st thing to look at if you sure its OK check exit assy turn by hand if ok replace motor
