hey i want to know is there any way to feed envelopes on a mpc401 via bypass?
if i do it closed face up it prints on the backside with the seal..
I did it thru paper tray and that works but i like bypass as an option..
I am not sure if it is at all possible but figured id ask..

then have them feed it through the tray because they are just plain to stupid to learn....

my customers ALWAYS fed them in the right way, that because THEY READ THE USERS MANUALS!

        you just can't fix stupid

on most printers/copiers I have worked on the flap SHOULD NOT be closed it should be towards the end of the tray and opened up. But then again I worked on High end.. and middle class machines

So you are saying the customer loads the envelope upside down and then it prints on the wrong side?

We should put in a request to Ricoh to enable a "print on the other side of the upside down envelope" feature?

Hopefully you can help me out with a problem I have. In my car when I press on the gas petal, the car goes and when I press on the brake it stops. I want to be able to press on the brake and have the car go. Help a brotha out?

Load envelopes into the Bypass Tray with the print side facing down.

When loading envelopes, remove air from them, and securely press along the flap fold line. Otherwise, it will result in an envelope wrinkle or paper jam.

Do not use envelopes that have glue or release paper on the flap or the part covered by the flap on the body. Otherwise, the machine may be damaged or a failure may occur.

                    All excerpted from User guide.

Also I will print a picture how to put envelopes and stick it up over machine.

in every manual I EVER read.. it shows the image process and feed direction.

what program are they printing from? Word? Mail Merge? proprietary program ( if this is the case the makers of that program will have to get involved )

what print driver are the using?

you will have to LOOK at the program they are using to print envelopes from... make changes to the print driver and compare to the program print process.. you are there we are not.

I seem to remember another thread recently with the same sort of problems.

No offense, bro, but I imagine the techs on this site are busy, too, and you should really trying to find the information before asking them to do the work for you.
