    SC672-Mpc3504

    Hello,
I have a problem with machine Mpc3504, because it keeps showing me that there is a problem with a code sc672-00.
Do you have any suggestion on how to fix this problem?

    Hello

I haven't worked with this particular model but from what I have experienced with multi-function black and white models is that SC 672 is normally a hard drive fault. Change the hard drive and test. If you still have a problem change the controller and test.

Usually SC672-00 is going to be the Controller board.

Try updating the firmware if this fails replace the controller.

There should be a dash number after the SC672 like SC672-11. They are all covered in the service manual. On the metis a common cause was the USB cable between the Controller and the Operation panel. Common enough that Ricoh-USA put out a service bulletin on it. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable at both ends.

Controller start up error on C3504. HDD errors are in the 800s.

If there is a line filter with network filter try using it.I spoke to Lee at Hytec and he suggested it.That is if the controller hasn't puked....

Thanks slim. Wasn't certain if it was the same as the black and white models
