    SP5810DN

Hi.. Until now I have only had experience with Ricoh MFP's. My company has just purchased some SP5810DN used units for rent (as we are desperately trying to keep afloat in this situation). My problem is that i'm unable to go past logging in the user & password using the standard methods (even supervisor) and as such unable to enter our IP address range. I've also tried reading the service manual (which i downloaded) to get an idea of what to attempt but have come up blank. I dont want to try any clearing of memory until I get some advice from you gentlemen who know. I will surely appreciate any help that is offered. Thanking you in advance.

Thank you for your quick response.. If by Birth Certificate you mean the "Factory setting Data Sheet", it is not available but we did print out the SMC report which is with us. Pls advice.

Whatever the correct model number is....
Just liked the MFP's, you have to enter factory mode in order to reset the Supervisor/administrator passwords (although the access procedure is different), and I hope that no one posts that information here...in a public forum

If you can get into SP mode, see if SP 5828 Network settings is available. If it is you should be able to set the IP address and other network settings there. If nothing else it will at least show you the current address.

Double check the model number SP5810 does not exist it sounds more like a service SP mode!?

                As others have stated.
You'll have to clear the UCS and address book settings in Factory SP mode.
That'll reset the machine to allow you to set default passwords.

Thanks again for your encouraged advices. I managed to initialize/reset address book data by using Factory SP. Now everything is fine.
