mpc2051 scan to Gmail - "be careful with this message"

mpc2051 scan to email is working good, but this message appear when opening the scan in the mailbox:
"The mail of Nickname can't verify if the sender of this message is truly Nickname.be"
And also:

I guess the mpc2051 account setup has a failure. Right?

If it's working I wouldn't bother and ignore the message but congratulate the customer that scan to mail works with an old MPC2051

Not shure what that message is related to, perhaps just some "security" alert because something doesn't seem totally plausible.

Could be a number of possible problems.
1. C2051 is too old to support TLS.
2. First and foremost with the message could be that two-factor authentication is not setup properly. In fact with the age of the C2051 you may not be able to set it up.
3. If using "Allow less secure apps" and google's port 25 SMTP server, "Allow less secure apps" is going to go away sometime after the first of the year.
4. If using google's SSL supported SMTP server the site license installed on the C2051 may have expired. Site licenses are issued by licensing authorities such as GlobalSign and can be downloaded from your browser to a file and the uploaded the the C2051 using WIM.

Poster says the gmail email is sending from the copier OK. He is asking about an error he gets when opening the scan from his PC.

what file type?

what size of the file?

did you read the FAQ page for uploading pic/files?

How do I attach a file to a post?
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
What files types can I use? How large can attachments be?
In the attachment window you will find a list of the allowed file types and their maximum sizes. Files that are larger than these sizes will be rejected. There may also be an overall quota limit to the number of attachments you can post to the board.
How do I add an image to a post?
If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.
To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert photos from your albums (?) in this way too.

Pictures not showing are usually the result if them being too large either file size, image width or image height. When you click on the attach paper clip there is a blue circle with a ? in the middle of it. Click on that to see what the limits are.

And any of those could be the cause of message.

No, if less secure apps and/or 2 step authentication were the issue the MP C2051 would not be able to send an email. In his case it IS sending an email.

It is a warning that those abilities are about to end.

Gentlemen,
I have heard too that indeed Gmail is going to stop.
So it is only logical that customer already seek another way of scanning...
I'm going to tell him this.
Thank you - again - for helping.
Greetings,
Mark
