Aficio 700 very poor image quality

    Hi, If anyone can help

Need Help on Aficio 700 very poor image quality, have already
change parts connecting to poor quality, No errors, Change dv unit & drum unit, hit on a dead end. The operator said that she was printing 10,000+ copies then the image suddenly became very poor. The image look like almost blank, but if you look closer you can see a small trace of the light grey image

    Thanks

too late now - developer will be so undertoned it won't recover. You'll have to change it again then do 2801, then 2962

You can also use 2-207 few times to restore copy blackness and then initialize td sensor. Check Vt display first, if it's near default value, maybe that's not a problem but for example transfer power pack is defective. Especially when copy quality changed suddenly and there are black contours arround black fields on copy/print images.

You need to make sure that the machine is properly adding toner at the proper rate. It may have a bad toner add clutch. But, all of your voltage readings within your service mode will help you diagnose the problem.

You have a new dv & drum unit, per your post, so now you have new units and still are having the same problem as before you swapped the items. I would closely follow the voltage reading for your TD, etc, and try to do this before you dump another bag of dv into it. Since the dv should be fresh, and before it's completely gone(Shadow is probably right-it's gone) you can just manually dump some toner into it, see if it tones up, drop the id interval to 10 copies, and see if the numbers change. Since you just set up the dv, your Vref will be chased with the new toner.

Dv gets expensive when you have other failing components, that's for sure.

It's always been my experience with Ricoh machines that once the developer becomes depleted past a certain level it's trash - you can tone it up again for testing as schooltech said, but it won't hold and expect it to dust.
