    Re: Ricoh MP3353

This series always copied light right from the box. Had my Ricoh DSM look at one at a CPA place and we did everything under the sun to try to improve the quality. NG..Last thing we did was quite simple. Use the Light\Dark settings, make some samples and ask the customer to pick the one they liked best. Go to the program key and then lock that setting in as the default.

BTW-We replaced the Drum unit, Developer unit, CCD, PP ect ect. No change to the quality

      Hello

I've had this problem with a few units. Like the rest of the guys mentioned all the way from 1027 till present. This is what I generally do. Helps most of the time. Hope it works for you as well

      1) Fully clean optics. Mirrors, platen glass, etc..
      2) Replace complete PCU. Drum, Dev, blade. Clean charge and initialise.
      3) BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DOING PART. ALSO YOU WILL BE DOING THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! Remove the SBU unit (board with lens that scans images in) Do not open factory set markings. Remove unit and very gently with a very soft cloth clean the lens on both sides and the CMOS image sensor. AGAIN I REPEAT BE VERY CAREFUL. Replace and test.
      4) Try replacing that SBU lense board with another.

      Hope this helps.
