    Uninstall Fiery from C6000

Hi, All. I have a C6000 turd donated to a church, and I need to reverse install (uninstall) the Fiery so it can be used. The manual was released before the Fiery was even engineered for the machine, so I have no data at all for this procedure in the manual. After looking on Ebay, I think it used a E-7100 controller. Can anyone point me to the installation guide? Thanks, Mika

NEVER MIND, I finally found the E-7100 manual, took forever.

EFI shows the controller model to be an E-25c. It also shows it to be for the MP C3000 and the MP C3500/C4500. The service manual for the MP C3500/C4500 however show the fiery for it to be the E-5000, which EFI shows as being for the Canon ImagePRESS. My service manual shows Rev. 04/2008. If you have the same or later revision of the B222/B224, C3500/C4500, service manual fiery installation is under CONTROLLER OPTIONS in the Installation section. Might be the same or similar. Service manual for the C3000 shows basically the same except fiery model is E-3000.

Good thing that C6000 (ick!) is in a church...it's gonna need all the help it can get.

Why do people think they're doing a good thing by donating such junk. I guess it's more of a tax write off than anything.

had a similar issue with a customer. about a month after purchasing the copier with the fiery system. they decided they didn't wont the fiery. i am a ricoh tech. and i had to call support. it took almost a hour for the support guy to get it disabled. it seemed to be a bit of a challenge. so personally i would recommend talking with ricoh support.

It looks like the E-25C is for the newer IM series, this machine is an old box. I am taking the necessary documentation for the 7100 and 5000 controllers, plus a dimm in case I need it.

Pretty sure switching off 5895 will get it's GW controller working again, but I'll check.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.

I went there this morning, and I still don't know what model of Fiery was originally on it. However, I removed the Gigabyte NIC, reenabled the GW controller and checked for active GW NIC, all good. Unfortunately the print/scan card was missing, so it's still just a copier.
