Ricoh mp c4502 - Fixable or Scrap?

I am having 2 problems with this machine.
We just replaced all the toner with OEM Ricoh toner, and a new fuser assembly. Test print reveals color are not solid and crisp, thinking it is developer or drums.
We are also having problems resetting admin or supervisor password, this unit was purchased from State of CT auction, so they must have created a unique password for supervisor, I was able to reset and admin gets me in with space, but I can't remove any of the user permissions. I saw a post to download the NVRAM and try hex editing the passwords and I was not able to locate the characters they referred to.

My techy guy who was working on this decided to retire early and moved south when our business slowed up with COVID, now business is picking back up, and I need to get this machine working, or lease a new one.

Not sure what approach to take, and if I get a new machine, is there a market for these old machines, no one offers much in trade.

Copy counts are about 560,000 color 450,000 B&W.

    Thanks

I wouldn't spend money on this old machine with 1 million on the clock.

However you may find running a 100 or so duplex prints through it may improve the print quality as most likely it has been in cold storage for months.

You can use factory SP mode to reset the admin & supervisor password back to default.

The MP C3502/C4502 are fairly stable color machines. You have given us the meter counts but what about the PM counts. With light prints my guess is that the developer and possibly the development units are near of beyond their PM counts.

As far as the toner, OEM does not mean the same as Genuine. Only the equipment manufacturer can label their supplies as GENUINE. OEM only means the same component ratios. It does not mean the same quality and testing.

Not worth fixing in my opinion especially since you have only done the Fuser. Other major pm items are the pcu/developer units and the itb unit and cleaning unit. Also transfer roller in the door. That said if it needs it all it will be expensive. And that is a lot of miles for a 10+ year old box. Passwords can be reset without NVRAM. I do like this box however but the newer devices run better. This was the last generation of an outgoing design so most (a lot) of the flaws were pretty much sorted, the 4503 had teething pains but overall the design change was a good one..
