    Savin 2522

    Greetings,
I have a Savin 2522 that is printing lines down the right side of the page. I believe it is the Photoconductor but I wanted to double check.

Trouble shoot to isolate the problem to engine or optics
    1. print an internal print, a counter page will do. If you get no lines its in your optics. If you get lines when using the df but not the glass its the scanner glass to the left of the large exposure glass...clean it. Problem solved.

If you get lines on the counter page:
make a copy and stop the process before the paper exits the machine. Examine the paper that has jammed. If there are lines on the paper BEFORE it gets to the fuser...Drum problem. If the line are not there BEFORE the fuser...Fuser Rolls.

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

Is the machine asking for a PCU?

I've been to several customers whose machine has been asking for one for about... oohh... 100K!!! That's not just the PCU has done 100k, the PCU has done life and 100k over that. They wonder why the machine is putting lines on it's copies.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.
