it was some electrical insulator that was supposed to help this corona end block problem. it may have been for tv high voltage fly back circuit.
and maybe it would work with today's HVPS better, since they may have much lower amperage's?

i may still have it somewhere, but it never seemed to work for me.
A couple of the places we used to get tools and tech supplies from were West Coast Platen and Ames Supply. Prior to going out of business they merged, but with the advent of word processing programs on computers and inkjet/laser printing the demand for recovered typewriter platen totally vanished.

actually, last i checked, a while ago though, WCP's sister location was still open. its called Seattle platen.
      i used WCP for years.
i'm trying to remember the place in Arizona that had the tools, quirky feed roller tape, that would end up on the drum, i think they sold the methusula drum powder, and they had this tiny hand finger held drill with a mini chuck and storage for small bits. its like 3 inches long and a half inch wide.

totally cool tool i still use.

XPS or some name. Crawford tools used to carry good stuff as well. Precision roller, Katun, anyway, i thought i had sent this yesterday.

      have a nice day.
