[Error Code] Intermittent SC 204 on Ricoh MP301

    HI Guys,

    I have a MP 301 displaying SC 204 Polygon Motor Error after 30 - 40 prints.
The device has approx 190K on clock.
Print quality perfect until just before SC displayed, then half an image and then very feint bands horizontally down the length of the page.
    Then the device then Restarts.
OK after restart, prints 30-40 pages, then re occurs.
Thoroughly cleaned out the cavity and the Transfer area, replaced PCU (Leaking Dev)
I have referred to an earlier post on this issue advising to check the PCU earthing spring, so cleaned and checked the related connections to the Transfer area.
Another post here on Copytechnet on this subject suggested replacing a Ground wire on the Right door, but I am unsure as to which wire is being referred to.
Got a Polygon Motor PCB & Door Switches on order and going back in a few days.
I am not very confident that the parts will resolve the issue.
Does anyone have any other ideas that might be worth investigating ??
    Many Thanks in advance

Most probably just a polygon motor

SC204 is more apt to be a harness or connection problem. Also a possible driver board problem. Could also be toner or dust inside the laser unit case.
