MP C2051 Can not print test pattern SP2-109-003

New question, I hope you bear with me

I printed out a colour test pattern from SP1-103-002.
I noticed there was a small positional error between the different toners, not a large error but still clearly visible with the naked eye when looking carefully, maybe around 5/100mm.
I then read the manual and found line position adjustment procedures.
I did follow the procedures, SP2-111-003 and SP2-111-001 twice, checked results inbetween in SP2-194-007, was ok.
I then went to SP2-109-003 for printing out test pattern. I put A3 paper on the by-pass tray as stated, the paper is sensed as I can hear the beep.
But I can't get the machine to print out the pattern, not any of the patterns. I select the pattern, it is highlighted and I hit "OK". When I hit "OK" both the "OK" and the "CANCEL" button goes inactive and nothing happens.
    What can the problem be?

      The manual states A3 paper.
I now tried with A4, both LEF and SEF form the by-pass tray, still nothing happens.
I have A4 LEF in tray one. I have tried without any paper in the by-pass tray, still no go.

In the machine there is no option for "Plain". Only "Do not display".
When I check in WIM it says "Plain" there when I put in "Do not display" in the machine.
Yes, it is set to 60-81grm.

It is not important to fix this little problem.
I printed out the first colour test pattern again, and now that pattern looks very good
So it seems the adjustment procedure was sucessfull

Thank you all for suggestions and try to help

After selecting the pattern you want to print are you going to the service mode "COPY WINDOW"? And why are you not going back to Printer SP an using 1103-002 again? One more thing, did you clean the Image Density (ID) sensor assembly? Often just cleaning it will pull line position back in alignment.

I did print out 1103-002 again, after I couldnt get 2109-003 printed out, thats why I said in my previous post it was not important to fix this little problem
I did not clean that sensor. I will have a look at it in the service manual.
No, I was not going to the service mode "copy window". I assumed the printout was supposed to start while staying in the 2109-003 window?

Dang, that was how to do it, going to the SP copy window and just print out a "blank" copy. Constantly learning something new, way to go, hehe
The printout is looking fine with the naked eye at least.
The printout seems to be only B/W though, was expecting coloured lines too.

I didnt notice I only printed out in B/W the first time, no wonder it looked like a B/W printout, lol
I repeated, this time in full colour, a bit less sharp lines, as expected, but still looking very good.
                          Thanks again for professional help!

The color that the test pattern prints, when you select full color, is set using SP 2109-005. Default is all colors. As such the single dot line is composite black. If line position was off you would see colored edges to the lines. I prefer printer SP 1103-002 because it has the color grey scale.

2109-005 was set to 1, all colours.
Yes, I thought it was composite black since it was not as razor sharp as the first B/W printout. But I could not se coloured edges, so I guess it is how sharp it can be, the limits of the performance of the printer.
