    [Error Code] ERROR SC-681-06 on RICOH MPC401

    Checked all possible causes for ERROR SC-681-06 on RICOH MPC401, including toner cartridges chips...what could be other reason excluding RFID controller board? any assistance will be highly appreciated.. See image bellow

    Try putting in another new black toner bottle.

      have you vacuum inside black toner hopper area /check contacts up inside hopper could be one contact is stuck back not spring outward

        Yes, but will do again ...coz the error was on and off. but now permanently

            Was the toner original???

            i am only asking cause i had a experience were the user bought a compatible toner and forget to remove a tape, and he messed up the machine.

              Most of the time it's rubbish compatible toner and chip and or customer keeps putting in and out and damage rfid pwb

                  There is another thing to consider. The manual states that EM/RF interference will also cause this. I had a c400 that the rfid board was replaced, and it still got codes like that. It was determined the location of the machine was the problem.
