    [Misc] E25c Fiery Software

    Hi Chaps,

I have an ongoing issue with a E25c fiery on a IMC device. It keeps dropping off and needs a reboot. All services packs and patch updates have been applied. Also machine firmware is up to date.

I'm looking at doing a full system software reload on the fiery but it did not come with any disks or USB stick.

Does anyone know where I get get this from? No part number listed in parts manual and Ricoh new tech web site is not the best.

    HELP!!!

contact ricoh support. i recently had an issue with a fiery pc. after speaking with support they pointed me to a website to download the fiery software. also in this process it creates a bootable usb device. then you can plug into the pc and run the install from there.

It sounds to me like the location is getting AC line sags that the Fiery power supply is not able to handle.

Yeah, so with these new fiery devices you need to register for the EFI Fiery Sales Portal (24-48hrs). You then need to download the Fiery INSTALL BUILDER. The fiery system software is then downloadable from here. it then creates a bootable USB which enables you to restore the software using the manual.

Looks like EFI/Ricoh are going away from supplying DVD's with Software on them.

            Thanks all

              Re: E25c Fiery Software

This fiery has a restore partition on the hdd. I know you can get a "service" manual on the tsrc for it. You would need to follow instructions on the manual. Not certain, but I believe you web into fiery ip and select restore from there. I know you can create a bootable flash drive image from there.

              Fiery's suck.

I don't know about the UK but here across pond a tech with a Ricoh Family Group can down load a service set of images from the service websites. It includes the USB image and both of the DVD images. Ricoh will also pay for the EFI training needed to qualify to register with their sales portal.

Now who lost the software that came with the Fiery when it was first sold? It is supposed to be kept with the hardware and the customer told to keep it available.
