    MP C3002 No Toner(Bk) message

Last prints were very dark, heavy density with background.
Two days before, prints were a little faint with low density.
    Toner cartridge was empty indeed.
I put in a new toner cartridge, then i checked black toner hose for blockage,
but it was clear, with less toner, then i put a New Toner Pump with hose off course!
    Nothing changed.
I did the trick with SP-3045, then i initialized the Td sensor with SP-3013-03.
It worked for 100-200 prints, then add toner message came back.
M/c has oly 130K. on the clock.
PCU, Developer unit have been checked for any wear...
May i ask your opinions what happens, it is a very very common problem for many
years, but first time for an MP C3002!!!
    Thanks in advance....

have you tried a forced toner procedure?

what is the page count of the dev unit?

what is the page count on the PCU?

    is the waste section clogged?

are they using genuine OEM toner?

Which black toner has been used? The Ricoh original?
Have you cleaned the ID sensors yet?
Is the saturation of colour also faint?

try cleaning Black toner hose might be a clog. When you pull hose from black toner put paper below it and see if toner pour out of hose. If not then change toner pump . Number one cause is black toner pump gone bad.

Try to change black development unit, I have had this same problem and it was only solved by changing the development unit after try pump, hose, new toner, look at the toner turning... i suppose that the sensor of the unit was defective.

check all gears of the developer unit, and inside the machine if it has leaked. I recommend replacing the developer and reviewing the pcu section. First check, doing the forced loading of the toner, if it falls into the developer box ...

Re: MP C3002 No Toner(Bk) message

Today i replaced Developer Unit, put a new toner cartridge, a new toner pump, did the appropriate procedures, machine worked for 100 prints
and it came back to "No Toner" condition.
So i did some diagnostics, because my feeling says that toner pumb (bk) does not work electrically, or by mechanical drive.
I took out all PCU's and ITB Assy and in diagnostics i cannot hear any pump/clutch working : no clicking sound from all pumps...
Then it was time to measure voltage signal at plug/jack. No voltage, no signal, just zero.
A pencil mark to the white pump drive gear didn't move.
Machine is at a very good condition.
I think that "something" has blocked it's logic.
The printed test pattern is very poor for all colors!

Toner force unfortunatelly does nothing at all. New pump does not receive toner,
remains totally clear. Machine inside is very clear, PCU seems to come in good contact
with the rear jack...and the bottle is turning.

The entire toner supply is driven by one motor. Refer to the service manual - PRODUCT INFORMATION - PRODUCT OVERVIEW - DRIVE LAYOUT. If the toner bottles rotate then the motor operates and the upper portion of the drive train works. You could be looking at a broken timing belt that drives the clutch drive train.

FYI, I have had the black toner nozzle clog thus preventing toner from getting into the hose to the pump.

Just remove hose from top with bottle is let it load toner see if comes out if it does make sure hose isn't damaged at the ends
