Need some help with display problems caused by the SCU board. The problem is the displays stays in the duplex mode and you have to go through the touch screen adjustment to clear problem which sometimes works. When it doesn't work all it takes is turning the copier off and turning back on the screen returns back to the duplex mode and touch screen has to be readjusted. I replaced the SCU board on the copier I'm working on and cleared the problem but copy quality went bad. I put the original SCU board back in and swapped out the chips between the 2 boards and the touch screen problem is ok yet copy quality is not. Does anyone know which of the IC chips on the SCU controls the touch screen and which one controls the copy quality. Thanks for any help.

i don't think you're going to find anyone that will know which chips on a PCB do what. Maybe you can just set all the SP's back to factory defaults for the board that's producing poor copy quality? Of course it might not work and then you'd be stuck with messed up SP settings...

Glad to hear it. Any tips on what chips they were? Did you have to de-solder them?

Did not have to do any soldering. Looking at the SCU PCB in the copier the chip below the 3 in a row took care of the display problem the chip to the far left took care of the copy quality problem.
