    MP C8002 no image

MPC8002 has had the control board replaced with a good use working one from another machine, there is
no Code, or image internal print or copy
in service mode we do get the "Grid" from being in service mode but no image
all memory has been cleared except "all" and " engine"
all birth certificate settings are in the right places
it has not been moved causing any laser mirrors to be sent askew
anyone have any situation like this? or any suggestions?
firmware is also up to date
the eeprom is the same from the original machine
    thanks

You did not mention why you changed the controller. Might it be that the bicu is bad also? If you run process control, does it give an error then?
    I've proved mathematics wrong. 1 + 1 doesn't always equal 2.........

One of our techs has seen where the drawer unit doesn't close all the way and the grounding pin for the Paper Transfer unit wasn't making contact. Usually would give you an SC460 though.

If you stop a job mid-print, does the image show up on the drums or ITB belt?
          I'm guessing there's a poor connection somewhere.

          Bad memory DIMM?

That is normally a communication error from the controller to the control panel. If you know how to move through System SP blindly try to export the Logging Data SP 5992-004 to an SD card. You can then check the SC history to se if there was any other service code.

What you describe "in service mode we do get the 'Grid' from being in service mode but no image" tells me that the display is functional just not getting the data from the engine. The "Grid" is generated by the Operation Panel loaded on the panel.

              Possible causes:
              1. Bad connection from the control panel to the IPU.
              2. Bad connection from the Controller to the IPU.
              3. Bad IPU board.
              4. Bad controller board

                update not resolved
all boards have been changed, memory dimms replaced,
there is no image on the drums or ITB
i downloaded nvram then ran memory all clear
now it shows paper in d2 (fuser) where there is none, doh!!
no jam before the memory all clear..
.i realize this is a wacked situation for a machine, i have never encountered no image/no code..no harm no foul no shirt no shoes no problem...lol
i have replaced the machine with a c6004 so now the mpc8002 is a corral reef candidate for ocean exploration
but before we scarp it is there any other possibility causing this anyone can think of?
and remember there is no code the machine thinks its working properly

Have you checked to see if the laser shield glass is covered with toner or dust? That would cause no image and would not generate a service call code. If the shield glass is missing or broken you could have toner haze throughout the entire laser unit
