Help ! No duplex option in Ricoh MP 2014AD 247-27

I have bought a used ricoh 2014AD (247-27 model, 42k clicks) with adf and duplex unit and all
but i failed to make it print in duplex, nor the option to make duplex copy is present in the system menus
even though i tried to make a duplex print from the driver but it always prints in simplex
Is it a firmware issue or what? if yes can someone provide me with the firmware files !?
if not what could be the problem ?

Boh?...if not work also in Copy, try to format/replace the hdd (sp5-832)

Two things that will prevent you from being able to duplex.

1. Paper type is set for Thick 2 or Thick 2. The turn at the bottom of the duplex unit is too tight.
2. Duplex is disabled(Apply Duplex not Enabled).

Both settings are in User Tools - System Settings - Tray Paper Settings.

I put the machine on plain paper 2 none changes
Also I couldn't find duplex setting on the machine system menus

The machine has the adf, the correct model number, all the optional clutches (reverse and duplex clutches and others)
Where is the probelm
Maybe a wrong firmware !? It onlay says 2014 in web interface shouldn't it say 2014AD !!!??

That model line had 3 models 2014, 2014A and 2014AD. Only the 2014A and the 2014AD supported duplex. What does it show when you print the counter sheet? It could be firmware.

Duplex mode can be selected by pressing the Right Arrow button which is the entrance to Copy Mode.
Firmware seems to be the very first , but it has nothing to do with Duplex abilities!

I tried it there is no duplex

Well, if you download the User Manual, read carefully pages 139, 140 how to enable or disable Duplex Mode. Right Scroll key is the magic key for you. Good Luck.

Well you missed the point !
There is no other options like in the manual pages 86 and 139 etc
When i press the key i pnly get combine 2 originals or 4 originals no other option even though my machine is the 2014ad which i supposed yo have the all the duplex options like in page 86 and 139 etc

What manual are you looking at, the service manual? You need to be looking at the Operating Instruction Manual. I just downloaded it and Duplex/Combine starts on page 139 and continues on page 140. The next option below the 3 that are showing in your picture is 2S->1S(NoComb) which is Duplex you have to press the DOWN Scroll arrow until it is highlighted. FYI, the SCROLL ARROWS are just to your right of the display. You can see the LEFT Arrow in your picture.
