    MP C306 vs. C307 Fuser?

I know the P/N's are different, but can someone please advise if these fusers are interchangeable as is, or maybe with a minor modification as so many others are?
I have an MP C307 fuser on hand and I'm afraid I may brick an MP C306 if i just go ahead and try it.

    Thanks in advance!

The 306 Fuser fit in 406, the 307 in 407, i think that the lamp have different wattage, and maybe also the cable wire connector displacemment.
Why the Ricoh sell to you one part, when can sell two?....lol

      Thanks Luca,
but when you say that 'it fits", does that mean that you have used one fuser in the other machine?
I'm aware that it will fit, I'm just concerned at what might happen if I boot up the machine so can you please clear that up for me?

      Thanks again!

If you have access to the point to point diagrams for both you can compare the wiring. I don't have anything on the MP C306/C406. I can say however that it has the same top cover as the MP C305, but not the same bottom cover.

I suggest you do a check as slimslob says, maybe there's a thermistor, more (?)...or less (?)... I bet they will have necessarily changed something to force them to stock the same stuff, if you have 6 mpc307 and 6 mpc306 you could easily service them with a fuser in stock, but instead you have to buy another one, maybe just because they moved some wires in the harness.
However, if you try to put the wrong one I think what's wrong is that it tells you "reposition the fuser unit"... I don't think it will explode

I checked better on the part list manual, it would seem, if I haven't missed anything, that the differences between the two are the pressure roller, and the presence of the "new unit detection" fuse in the 307, the sleeve it look the same.
