How to set up Ricoh MP C3004 to scan to a folder in OneDrive?

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for your help,
Currently I have a Ricoh MP C3004 set up to send all scans to a shared local folder on a computer's desktop for our mail processing person . We are adding another employee who will be processing the scans at the same time, and we want him to be able to have access to the folder as well for the same purpose. They are both going to be processing scans at the same time from the same folder. Ideally I'd like to create a subdirectory for each person, ie "scanperson1folder" and "scanperson2folder" so that they don't accidentally overlap and process the same scans twice. I can access the shared folder from any computer on the network right now, but my boss wants the folder to be accessible even when not on the network - so, he wants the scans folder stored in the cloud. I am okay with IT stuff but am kind of lost on what to do here. Any help at all would be appreciated.

rthonpm has given excellent input on the topic of "Scan to OneDrive" on a couple of threads in the Connectivity forum. He does the setup for his customers all the time. If he doesn't answer this thread soon, you might want to Private Message him or just search the Connectivity forum.

As far as processing the same scan by both person, the best way is to "move" one file at a time to a folder that is not shared before starting to process. First person to get there gets the file.

i agree with slim. or you also tell them. hey you have everything from A-M. and you have everything from N-Z. or you could combine both. you have your part of the alphabet, then drop it in a folder that isnt shared. if you get done then you start at the lower end of what i am working on. so if my files are A-M. you can start at M and work towards where i am. and when completed move all the files back to the shared folder. or have 2 shared folders one as completed and the other pending. its kinda a personal preference.

It's not OneDrive scanning you want, it's scanning to SharePoint Online. There should be an integration app for SharePoint available for that model.

Scanning to OneDrive is a little messier as the files are then owned by a specific user as opposed to being owned at the organisational level by residing in SharePoint Online.

A SharePoint library can also be synced to Windows Explorer so that all of the necessary people can see the scanned data with only a little bit of adjustment from a traditional network drive.
