    [Error Code] MP6503SP SC555

    Good day all

    I keep getting SC555 on MP6503.
Thermistors and thermostats has been replaced. New hotroller, press and lamp. Also update all firmware to latest version.

    Any assistance would be apreciated

Positioning thermistors can be critical. I would double-check their mounting in case one is bent up a little too high or if a wire is misrouted and interfering with the positioning of the thermistor or if a wire might be pinched somewhere. Good luck.

      Thank you DRichard

I also ordered new brackets and replaced. was afraid that could be the problem.

When the device is cold and I start it up it gives the code, but when I reset the code and the fuser is already warm it works perfect. Same if it goes into sleep mode and cools down and wake up out of sleep mode it gives the code.

When I take a MP6503 fuser from one of our other clients and insert it into the device it works perfect, so its also not a Board. I am really out of options

Was just reading Ricoh's TSRC tech threads. Multiple techs had reported that they were receiving wrong thermistats. They say they were getting three 152-degree ones instead of two 192 and one 211-degree thermistats(?) This was NOT the tech's fault but Ricoh packaging the wrong value thermistats! In light of this, I would definitely examine the ceramic housing of your parts.

Have you checked all of the fuser lamps? I think the North America machines have three lamps, not sure how many there are in other areas. Look in the machines during warmup to see if they are all lighting up.

Try shimming the connector with a couple of washers on the back of the fuser

With the fusing unit removed, try to press in on each of the connector pins. I had an earlier model where the tab one of the lamp leads had bent and would allow the lead to move back in the connector when the fuser was installed. I had to replace the connector assembly.
