[Misc] Will the IMC series PCDU fit in the MP Cxx03 Series

As we know the IMC PCDU are considerably cheaper than the MPC so I wondered if anyone has successfully modified them to fit if so what is involved.

Not yet but it sounds like an interesting project for next week

I was able to convert SPC840 PCUs for MPC3004 - can't recall the exact steps but it was pretty self explaining.

Yes
you can Fit Printer version IMC PCDU in to MP C 003/004 series.
As you mention installation procedure in PDF,
- Remove TD sensor with cable from old unit and Transfer to Printer version.
- Remove TD sensor cover from Old unit and Transfer to printer version.
- Now you needed remove gear and plastic from printer version Dev unit.
- Must keep printer version black Rear cover to go back in new unit.
- With player cutter make big hole on old plastic front cover. Also make small hole for screw to go in.
- Install Printer version PCDU in to Machine.
- Perform normal PCDU installation procedure with ACC.
- NOTE: careful when putting back TD sensor to new Developer Unit. Make sure it stick properly.
