Recommended smtp sever for scan to email

    Hi folks,

I have previously been using SMTP2GO for the past few years and things have been pretty good. Over the past few weeks, they have consistently had issues which has brought our entire fleet down.

Looking for suggestions for alternative smtp servers that are Ricoh-friendly. Please exclude gmail in results. I am already aware of this.

    Thank you
If it works, don't touch it.

For any MFP that supports more than Port 25, the customers ISP is often the best. Usually their support people will assist you if you have any questions or problems.

Another option might be setting up a GoDaddy account. They used to have Port 80 and Port 8080 available for SMTP. AS those are the primary ports used by browsers fpor internet access, ISPs cannot block them which may be what is happening to SMTP2Go. They have a history in the past of being blocked because of the number of bulk mailers that use them

My SMTP2GO has been working just fine. Wonder if it might be something else?

            Same here.
I don't have a huge amount of my base using it, but no issues here either, as long as the registered sender Email address has been verified on the SMTP2go account as is now required.

Me too, using SMTP2go for a couple of years, recently it did gave us a lot of trouble, such as very slow to reach receivers, and was labelled " Unverified" and much more difficulty to arrive into a Gmail receiver. I have to start to correct the omission.

First , could you offer the steps how to do the registered sender email address being verified on the SMP2go account. Thanks

As I'm sure you're aware, you can no longer set up a new SMTP2go account with "free' email accounts such as Gmail, Hotmail, etc., but the accounts that I have using those types of accounts from years ago (including my own) are still working fine.

You must verify the email address from any/ all accounts your will be sending through the account. In my case it's basically the "administrator email account" registered on the machine, which is also usually the same email address used to configure the account. They sent a notice out a couple of years ago that all sender emails MUST be verified.
                It's easy.
Login. click on the 'sending' button, then 'verified senders".
Type the address or domain you want to verify (I've only done singe sender emails), then respond to the notification email they send to verify.

Thanks, But administrator email account on the machine SOMETIMES is end-user email address, if customer doesn't like my Email server login email address. That is why I am going to go head to verify process. If Single sender email address (registered account) being verified, what is about outcome of customer's defined Sender email address?

I'm not sure I understand you entirely.
It sounds like you're sometimes using your own smtp2go account on your client's machines?
If you do that, the address you use as the administrator address on the machine will need to be verified within your own smtp2go account, but that mat still create problems with spam filters , or bounce-backs.
When I setup an smtp2go account for a client, I always use one of their existing company email accounts or create a new one (for example: scanner@xyz_company.com), which I register as the administrator email address on the machine. and then verify it in the smtp2go account.
THIS IS THE ONLY address that needs to be verified.

Yes, I used My own smtp2go account for ALL machines, I don't create individual account for every client machine, therefore I pay monthly fee. Customer's gmail account was blocked because the sender is unauthenticated \r\n550-5.7.26 gmail requires all senders to authenticate with either SPF or DKIM. \r\n550-5.7.26 \r\n550-5.7.26...
