I suspect it's not the Cyan, Yellow or black consumables...what's left?

For that printer the recommended replacement of all 4 of the PCUs is 30K. If it has been more than a year since they were last replaced, replace them anyway. The development units may also need to be replaced. Your biggest problem is going to be finding the maintenance kits. Precision Roller does not have them. e-Bay and Amazon might.

Personally I would get a much newer printer.

The machine was uncrated for first time last year. Ran maybe 1k. I do have doubles of everything. I was just hoping maybe someone could suggest which consumable would cause these odd marks before i dig in. I do plan on upgrading in the future. Thanks

The copier version of that model was introduced in January 2004. It was replaced by the next model in June 2005. I already told you what would cause it. Parts and service support have long since expired.

Thanks slim, excellent advice as usual. Do you think I should shake up the toner while im at it, or pop in replacement?

If it’s repeating at drum circumference replace M PCU.

Make sure you only use original Ricoh parts and toners.

It looks like developer clumps, try doing toner refresh.

I did some checking and the Maintenance Kit Type 7200 7300B, set of 3 color PCUs is still available.

if it is random and not repeating on the page most likely there are clumps of toner in the developer. you could try a new magenta dev unit but likely the toner being supplied from the bottle is where the clumps are coming from. if so you would want to clean the whole toner add system for magenta and try a new bottle. then run full dot test patterns to bleed the existing toner from the dev unit. but with the age of the machine you might find it hard to find a bottle that hasnt been sitting for 15+years on a shelf.

Any salvage yard. They will strip it for any recyclable plastic, metal and glass.
