    PCL problem with MP C2030

    Hello ,
I have a new customer with a strange problem. The customer has a machine MP C2030. Until a month ago, it was printed normally with W7. As it bought a new computer with W10, the problem is that it cannot print. The problem is the following: on a machine that does not have any SD card, there is no PCL or PCLXL, only RPCS. Since the W10 doesn't have RPCS drivers (and the W7 won't), I'm in trouble. How to install PCL on Flash ROM on the controller board. PCL will not be updated on the latest firmware version 1.03 because there is no basic installation. Does Font-Macro Download Utility v 1.1 help or maybe Doundloader v 2.0 version 1.4.? Has anyone worked with these programs?
    Grateful in advance.

Ricoh do still have Windows 10 drivers available for this old model.

Have you tried installing the RPCS driver on the Windows 10 machine? The driver base between the two isn't that far off and something like a printer driver should just work, even if unsupported officially.

The RPCS driver that they are using with Win7 should work fine with Win 10. TO download from Ricoh you need to click on Use Other OS then Windows and select the correct Windows 7. By the time Windows 8 came out Ricoh was no longer licensed to produce the RPCS driver for new Windows OS but can continue to deliver the one for older Windows OS. Current Ricoh drivers work on all Windows from Win 7 on and in most cases also work with XP. Just remember there is a difference between 32-bit and 64-bit.

Yes, I tried it right away,
The W10 throws out the error that the printer did not install.
This also happened to me with the SP 3300 printer, but it wants to work under W 10.

As Slim said.....I guarantee that you tried to install a 32bit windows 7 driver on a 64 bit Windows 10 system (which is invariably the system that's in use).
Download the 64 bit version and it WILL work.
I literally just downloaded the 64 bit MP C2030 RPCS driver and printed to an MP C306 sitting next to me (which actually surprised the hell out of me)

                OK,
                I'll try one more time.
Although I'm sure I haven't tried the wrong version of the driver (64 bit one hundred percent).

Does the user that you tried to install with have Local Administrator rights? If not, that user cannot install printers.

What exactly was the error message you got? Was the driver a fresh download and extracted to a folder with nothing else in the folder?

You don't have to take my word for it....why not try it for yourself on your own system
