Re: Screwdriver of choice - Ricoh
I satarted using a Craftsman #2 Phillips with 12 inch blade over 20 years ago when the Apeco Bond Copier, relabeled Royal RBC1, first came out. It could loosen the cover screws without having to use an impact driver. You could actually see the torque build up in the length of the blade until the screws popped loose. Also back then Craftsman had a lifetime guarantee on their tools. If a tip became worn to where it did not hold to the screws properly, just take it to the nearest Sears or Orchard Supply and they would replace it free.
I use this Vessel No.220 Ball-Grip Screwdriver (JIS) (+2)x200 300mm Long
$14.00 US at Amazon.Leave a comment:

Re: Screwdriver of choice - Ricoh
The best way to tell if the screw is JIS type is to look for a small round indentation on the head, if they do have the indent, your best bet is to use a JIS screwdriver otherwise it can strip the screws.

Screwdriver of choice - Ricoh
Not to sure if this is the right section for this but...
For Ricoh machines what is your recommended screwdriver of choice?
I'm currently using a CK Philips 2 x 250mm shaft, overall length is 350mm. Using this for more than 15 years. It's a good screwdriver but it cams out alot. I read that JIS might be better.
Thank you in advance
