Scan to email fail after install card reader on MPC 2504

Just install the ID card reader on Ricoh MPC 2504 and everything working perfectly include the copy and print function, only the scan to email indicate transmission fail.
Disconnect the card reader the office365 scan to email without a problem. Client insist only scan to email is allow in the factory.
Any advice to the problem is much appreciated.

microsoft recently did a change to security for 2 form authenication for 365. i know it has affected how lexmark operates on scan to email. so it is possible that it has also caused issues for ricoh as well. i would contact ricoh to see if it has been affected.

When installing the Card Reader, I would bet that the card reader is also doing authentication to allow users to use the scanner. When authentication is turned on or being used by a 3rd party device the machines default is to use that specific users credentials to use the programmed email server. Set SP5-860-22 from 0 to 1. This SP holds the administrative email settings set in user tools instead of the logged in user.
